Skincare | The Body Shop Body Sorbet

19th October 2014

After watching Megan’s September Favourites on her YouTube channel earlier this month, I was intrigued by the sorbets by The Body Shop that she mentioned. A body moisturiser that dries almost instantly and smells good enough to eat? Sounds good to me! Anyway, I took it upon myself to give it a go as I was after a new moisturiser anyway.

It’s not often that I shop in The Body Shop but whenever I do, it’s usually as a treat to perk me up a bit (I’m utterly in love with their body butters). Anyway, when I went to buy this sorbet in store, they happened to be running an event for their members which entitled them to 30% off everything in store throughout the weekend which resulted in me signing up so I could get a bit of discount throughout the year (there’s a few things I want to try from The Body Shop so it made sense to sign up!). As a member, it meant I could get the sorbet for £5.60 instead of the RRP which is £8. Bargain!

I had a tough time deciding which scent to choose (it was a toss up between strawberry and mango because I love fruity fragrances) but I decided to settle with the mango sorbet in the end. I couldn’t wait to try it when I got home so I hopped straight in the shower so I could apply my new treat to my body and I definitely wasn’t disappointed with the results.

Dreamy scent aside, I was surprised with the texture of the sorbet. It was almost like a matte, velvety lotion which gives your skin a smooth finish. I loved how soft and fresh my skin felt after I used it, especially my legs after I had shaved them. The moisturiser absorbs quickly into the skin which is perfect for when you are in a rush to get out of the door. I can imagine it would be amazing to pop in the fridge in the summer and use it after a day in the sun to sooth the skin.

Have you tried the new sorbets yet? What are your favourite Body Shop products?
