Nails | Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

8th December 2014

Bourjois 1 second polish removerI think everyone can relate to this when I say that removing and re-applying nail polish is the bane of my life. Having to run upstairs to fetch your nail polish remover only to realise you’ve ran out of cotton pads making you unable to remove your awfully chipped nails – you know the feeling, right? Well let me tell you, I’ve found an amazing nail polish remover that requires no cotton wool, has a pleasant scent and takes literally seconds to remove.

The 1 second ‘Dissolvant Mains & Pieds’ by Bourjois is a new favourite of mine. I happened to come across this beauty when I was scouring the ASOS site during a promotion they had running and was pretty curious as to whether it worked. I don’t speak French, however the words ‘Miraculeus’ and ‘1 Seconde’ and Parfum fruits rouges & vanille’ sounded pretty good to me!

Promising to remove my nail varnish in 1 second, this Bourjois nail polish remover didn’t quite live up to that expectation but I can’t really see anything removing something so stubborn in a second, can you? Anyway, this remover is so easy to use and you can probably remove the polish from a single nail in just 3 seconds which is still pretty amazing! (A little longer for glitter polish, but that’s a different kettle of fish). Simply pop your finger into the pot, twist your finger around a bit making sure it touches the sponge inside and remove your finger from the pot. You’ll find that your nail vanish is gone and your nails will smell sweet like vanilla which is a lovely change from the head-ache scent which accompanies most of your usual nail polish removers.

If you are wondering how you’re going to do your toe nails, you will be happy to know that there is also a small sponge beneath the lid which allows you to remove the colour from your toes with an effortless sweep – pretty good huh?

Have you tried this product by Bourjois? Do you know of any other ‘miracle’ beauty products?
