Lifestyle | Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015!
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas? I’ve been pretty quiet on my blog over the Christmas holidays as I wanted to make the most of my time off and spend quality time with my family and friends without worrying about keeping up with regular posts. I hope you’re all feeling fresh and revived after (hopefully) having some time off from work and studying.
This is my first post of 2015 so it seems appropriate to discuss my new years resolutions with you all. I’ve put together a small list of some of the things I want to focus on this year; let me know if you’ll be doing the same!
Drink more water
After overindulging over Christmas, I think it’s time for a little detox by drinking more water. I don’t drink as much as I should so by upping my intake it should help cleanse my body and combat my fatigue. My aim is to drink between 2 to 3 litres of water a day.
Make progress with the house
Me and Ross have been in our house for almost a year now and we haven’t done an awful lot to it. 2015 will see us make progress with the house (providing we have the funds!). I’m hoping to get some wardrobes fitted in the bedroom, finish off our living room and sort out the garden; maybe even get a new bathroom fitted. It’s going to be a busy one on the home front!
Step it up in the gym
I need to get back into my routine at the gym making sure I go at least three times a week. This year I want to step it up a bit by incorporating more weights into my training so I can become stronger and hopefully leaner.
Be more decisive
My friends and family will know how indecisive I can be, whether it’s deciding what to have for tea or what film to watch. I’m going to try and make decisions for myself instead of relying on others to make them for me just because it’s easier.
I’m going to try and stop being such a worry wart and stressing over little things so I can appreciate the more important things in life such as the health and happiness of myself and my loved ones. Happiness is the key to everything, if you don’t have happiness, you have nothing.
