Wedding Invitations and Save the Dates

It was only last year I was saying to my old work colleagues ‘I haven’t been to a wedding in years!’ whilst most of them had a handful to go to in the space of a couple of months. This year I have 3, yes THREE, weddings to attend and I’m so excited! As they say, there’s nothing like a good wedding and one thing that I’m excited about as I get older is watching my friends getting married.

With save the dates and invitations arriving for me to stick on my fridge as a reminder, I decided to have a look at some wedding dress trends. I don’t intend on walking down the aisle myself any time soon but it’s always a good idea to keep up to date with trends and at least have an idea of what you would like in the future, especially when they’re all so pretty!

Sweety Wedding got in touch with me and asked if I’d like to write a post featuring five of my favourite dresses from their website so here are the lucky five that made the cut…

Backless Lace Wedding Dress

The back of this mermaid wedding dress is so dreamy! The lacey short sleeves give the dress a classy look so you’re not revealing too much skin. I love the fitted, lace design as it gives the gown a real elegant feel.

A Line Lace Wedding Gown

Again, the back detail to this beautiful A-line wedding dress is stunning! I think there is a perfect amount of detail without being over the top. This gown has a slightly more vintage feel than the previous one.

Halter Mermaid Wedding Dress

I love the shape of this embellished tulle wedding dress. It looks as though a layer of beads and crystals have been placed over the top of a plain sweetheart wedding dress. I love the high neck and the racer style back as it’s a change from the popular strapless styles.

Strapless Sweetheart Wedding Dress

I’d say this sweetheart beaded wedding dress is a classic style. Whilst the embellishment on the dress is gorgeous, I’ve always fancied a dress with straps but this strapless number is beautiful.

Floorlength Dress with Front Split

Although this wedding dress falls into the evening dresses section of the website, I love this style for a wedding. The organza skirt of the dress is gorgeous and looks like it flows effortlessly. Take away the risqué front split in the skirt and you have yourself a lovely wedding dress.

Sweety Wedding specialise in a beautiful assortment of wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and prom dresses so you can look and feel like a princess during those extra special occasions in life. Their dress styles are beautiful and they cater for all budgets. Who said you had to spend a fortune to get your hands on the dress of your dreams?

Have you got many wedding invites this year? Or are you going to be the bride in question this year?
