Skincare | Lush Bath Time Haul: Spring 2016
My Lush bath stash has been getting low recently due to the copious amounts of baths I’ve been having during this cold spell. As a result, I decided to treat myself to some goodies from the new spring collection at my local store. I could easily get carried away in Lush so I gave myself a spending limit of £25 which was a nice amount to pick up some of my favourites and try a few new bath bombs and bubble bars.
Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb – £2.95
If you are a fan of the ever-popular Snow Fairy, you will love the fluffy egg bath bomb. Smelling like sweet candyfloss and turning the bath water a lovely shade of pink, this bomb is perfect if you’re a real girly girl.
Humpty Dumpty Bath Bomb – £6.95
New for 2016, I was intrigued by Humpty Dumpty which claimed to be two bath bombs in one. Although a bit on the pricey side, I thought I’d give it a go as I was excited to see what was inside. Trying to crack the giant bath bomb was a nightmare and I made a right mess in my bathroom. Once I’d finally got inside thanks to the help of my boyfriend, the egg inside was too difficult to get out so I ended up putting the entire thing into my bath. Although I liked the fresh scent it gave off and the colour it turned my bath , I don’t think it was worth the money.
Lady Bird Bubble Bar – £3.95
The Lady Bird is part of the Mother’s Day collection but it was too cute to resist buying for myself. The bar has a lovely peppermint scent which is a nice change from the usual sweet and fruity products I’m usually drawn to. The Lady Bird is supposed to create lots of bubbles and change the water red.
Ultraviolet Bubble Bar – £4.95
One of my favourite bubble bars ever is Ultraviolet which I was introduced to last year. Shaped as a rainbow sporting lines of vivid purples, blues and greens, the bubble bar gives off a beautiful aroma of Parma Violets whilst you bathe in a pool of dreamy lilac water. Ultraviolet is a great size which means you should be able to get a good 4/5 bubble baths from it.
Granny Takes a Dip Bubble Bar – £3.65
This one isn’t part of the new spring collection however the bar’s vivid colours made it difficult for me to walk away from. I’ve heard great things about the bath bomb version so I’m excited to try this sherbet-smelling bubble version.
